The 3rd annual Ron Heller Memorial American History Contest was launched today for our 7th and 8th grade students. This year, our students will prepare material on the decade of the 1960's, under the careful guidance of Mrs. Caspe and Mrs. Frankel. Two qualifying tests will be given over the course of the year, with the top scorers competing in the finals at a yet-to-be-determined date in May.
The contest is sponsored by Mrs. Joyce Heller, a former Yavneh parent and former chair of the Board of Education, in memory of her beloved husband. Ron Heller had a passion for history and the Heller family has graciously provided our students with this opportunity to carry on that passion.
