What better way to prepare for zman matan Torateinu then by spending the day immersed in Torah learning? As has become traditional, our Middle School spent erev Shavuot engaged in a Yom Iyun, a day of special shiurim that help to put our students in the proper frame of mind heading into Yom Tov. Each of our teachers prepared a lesson on a wide variety of topics, and every class was privileged to hear three of those shiurim.
In addition, our 8th graders had a chance to hear a shiur from Rabbi Josh Kahn, a Rebbe at TABC and a graduate of Yavneh (and son of 2nd grade teacher Debbie Kahn). Rabbi Kahn's shiur focused on the power of words and their unique ability to impact our lives and the people around us.
