6th Grade Trip to Jewish Heritage Museum

Mrs. Caspe and Mrs. Frankel joined their 6th grade classes in tours of the Artifact Exhibit at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Battery Park. Our children were led by museum docents who guided them through unique family heirlooms representing the history of Jewry. There were Torah scrolls, marriage documents, passports, benchers. Chanukiahs and an array of memorabilia that brought families to life for our children. Each artifact was described with a card sharing its origin and use. Our 6th graders are about to begin work on their own Museum, Our Living Heritage. All 6th graders will be bringing in their own artifacts for display at our gallery opening in January.
